A bit about Francie
I was proud to be New Zealand’s first Olympic Rowing Coxswain—but I learned the hard way that success takes more than work and discipline.
On the outside, it looked like I had mastered my mindset. But behind the scenes, I was driven by perfectionism, overthinking, and relentless self-doubt. My inner critic was loud—and while it helped me perform as an Olympian, it came at a great cost.
I struggled with digestive issues, insomnia, and irritability with my husband and my family. No matter what I achieved, there was always that nagging feeling I should be doing more, that I should be better. I wasn’t happy.
Eventually, burnout hit hard. Chronic fatigue stopped me in my tracks—and that’s when I discovered mindset coaching.
Within six weeks of consciously breaking the mental patterns I had assumed I was stuck in forever, I began to feel like myself again. I was able to enjoy my loved ones and my life. This valuable work was especially crucial to my wellbeing when I became a mum.
Now, using the tools I have honed at work and practised at home, I help mums break free from overthinking and mum guilt, so they can rediscover the joy, confidence, and love of life that I did.
